DIY Inspiration

Delighted to discover the free e-zine, Inspiration, by Erin Loechner at Design for Mankind. The colorful arrangements and charismatic words describing individual inspirations — vintage fabrics, cartoons, modern art — got me going and I grabbed a few magazines and put together my own (albeit disheveled); definitely stirred up some ideas for weekend projects!

Yesterday, Democracy Now featured a conversation with Tariq Ali, noted political activist, novelist and historian. Ali talked about the significant events of 1968, including the Vietnamese Tet Offensive, the Orangeburg Massacre, the Paris Riots, the assassination of Martin Luther King, the My Lai Massacre, and the Tlatelolco Massacre in Mexico.
